The skill of making attraction look effortless. Sometimes it’s actual charm, sometimes it’s confidence doing parkour over common sense. Rizz can be spoken, like a risky one-liner, or silent, where nothing is said but something definitely happens. You can have rizz, lose rizz, rizz someone up, or borrow it for exactly one sentence.
What it isn't: Not politeness, not looks, and not basic respect. Being nice without timing is just customer service. Being attractive without delivery is a loading screen. ‘Pull’ is the result; rizz is the dangerous middle step where things can still go very wrong.
Example: "Rizzed up at the bus stop. Missed the bus. Worth it."
Whatever a glad lad’s got that makes a dish write her number ’fore he’s said his own name. Sometimes he says boo and it lands, sometimes he says nothin’ and it lands harder, and a fella might hold it, lose it, or borrow it for one dance.
“Sweet-talked her on the dance floor, missed my streetcar entirely. No regrets.”
It’s not being a dreamboat, and it isn’t your Sunday manners either. It’s how a cat walks a girl to her locker dead slow, saying nothing at all, and the whole hall still watches. Some have it cold; a pal can slip you the line when yours quits.
“Walked her home past curfew. Caught it from the folks. Worth every bit.”
Leaning on the counter at the burger stand and having her laughing before you’ve even ordered, no line rehearsed, no buddy setting it up first, not your looks, not your car, just whatever came out of your mouth in the first ten seconds.
“Two words at the register. She was still laughing after.”
Not what he says. How little it costs him to say it, leaning on the counter like something’s about to happen anyway. You can have it, lose it two words in, or borrow somebody else’s line and get one sentence out of it before it’s obviously not yours.
“Ricky walked up cold at the rink, no plan, missed his ride home. Worth it.”
You walk up and just talk to somebody you like with nothing rehearsed in the mirror first, and somehow it works, which honestly surprises you the most. Some weeks you’ve got it, some weeks you completely don’t.
“Said something to her by the lockers, zero plan, and it actually landed. Still don’t know how.”
Somebody shoots their shot with zero build-up and it just lands, no script, nothing. Other people bring a whole essay and still whiff. It’s a hidden stat everyone’s silently ranking, half the time without a word said. Actually pulling after is just the receipt.
“Everyone’s clocked his rizz as negative and he’s still picked first for group project.”
